When I was a little girl in elementary school we recited the US Pledge of Allegiance every day in our classroom. Standing out of our desks, placing our hands over our hearts and stating out loud the dedication to symbolism of flag and country. The last phrase, with liberty and justice for all, captures my attention today with one word in particular – justice, justice for all. The root of the word, “Just”, by definition means “behaving according to what is morally right and fair“. But let me ask you this, who decides what is morally right and fair? What is just? I can assure you that it is not up to us as individual human beings to make that judgment – though we’d very much like to think so, and in fact, in this country, we create entire systems (i.e. – the justice system) to do just that.
Those who understand their true nature embodying unity consciousness know without question that there is absolutely no need for the so-called justice system. Why? Because the universe itself is already just. It has to be, because the universe is built upon balance and can never be in a state of imbalance. If you need examples, look no further than to mother Earth and nature itself. The inter-connectedness of entire ecosystems and the perfect balance that exists. But what does the law of balance have to do with justice? Well, because we live in a balanced universe you can be assured knowing that when humans take action (positive or negative) the result is just (or fair) in that the universe will reciprocate.
Let me give you an example, suppose you encounter a news story where you learn of a horrible crime committed by an individual. As humans we are quick to pass judgment on that person stating things like, “what they did was so wrong“, or “I hope they get what’s coming to them“. But there’s no need for us as individuals to pass any kind of judgment. What this person may have done is neither right or wrong, it just is in the eyes of the universe/God. What it means is that God/Source/the Universe already mirrors back to us that which we project onto others. So if I take some type of negative action against another human, against nature, against mother Earth the universe is going to reflect that back to me in my own experience(s). Perhaps not exactly as how I behaved (contrary to the popular “an eye for an eye” belief) but I will receive onto me that which I place onto others. What we can learn from this important truth is that it is not our role to judge anyone for anything or any reason. If we can come to a place in our own minds where we can accept that what another individual does is simply a reflection of where they are on their own spiritual path and not a reflection of who they truly are, the world will truly be a much different place and already naturally sitting in a state of liberty and justice for all.
I hope these words have brought newfound inspiration on your spiritual journey. Until next time, much love and light to you all.
